Happy Birthday

Today was my birthday! I celebrated it yesterday by going to Top Golf and being around a bunch of friends! It was such a great day! I got home late, it’s why I didn’t write anything last night. But what was the greatest thing about this birthday? The people. I felt truly loved and appreciated, especially by my close friends and my boyfriend. 

What is the thing you want most when your birthday is happening? For me it’s to be with people who love and support me. That is the greatest gift I can ask for. When you have people who love you and cherish you then everything else is just cake. Get it, cause birthday and all! Now imagine not having anyone in your corner yet you get presents and have a. Great experience, yet it’s people you barely know. It’s all superficial, single serving friends. Would you want that or to be around people you truly love. Now I am not saying you have to chose, but I am just trying to shed a perspective on things. Presents and outings are great, but what are they without the people you like?

So next birthday make sure to truly enjoy the time you have with people you love, you never know when it will be theirs or your last together. Life is short, and in that time if you are off thinking about the future, dancing around the present you lose sight of the now. Be present, in the 🎁 and people and laughter and cake. Plenty of cake.
