Dare to Habit: Create. Empower. Implement. Become
Dare to Habit started with these 4 little words and they became the foundation of what it means to start reaching your goals. We have first Creating. This is the thought process, the imagination, the day dream phase. Every thing surrounding you right now was once a thought or someones dream. Electricity, wi-fi, video games, art, television, ect. How they were able to finally be is the “Become” phase of their first thought. So create means to envision the impossible dreams that seem so distant and far away. This is when you get to put your thoughts to the test, so what is it you want to create for yourself? This will be the vital step in the entire process because you must first think it in order for you to eventually become it.
Our thoughts hold vibration and energy, they can literally change your whole day. Our thoughts are the bases for all alchemic reactions. We transmute our thoughts to reality, and this is where the create phase first begins. You have to have a basis for any alchemy, this “dream” or “vision” for yourself is powerful and only becomes reality if you use the next steps in the process. So create the vision, and always use this vision as a reference point. This is because you need to add time, consistency, and a dash of work in order to see it unfold.
Once you have your create step down, the thought of where you want to be, it’s time to start empowering it. This means to add fuel to the fire and feel it. You want to believe in this vision for yourself, you want to trust your intuition and feel this in your very bones. You want to speak it into your life, this is when writing out your plans or finding a trusted therapist or friend is going to be helpful. Words have power, imagine all the things said to you. The moments of “I love you,” bringing a flush to your cheeks or butterflies to your stomach. Those words cast a spell and that is why staying focused on what you want to create is important here.
Using words like I can’t, or I don’t have enough of will only create the lack of those things thus negating your dreams. This phase of empowering will require you to write yourself a letter or a note or a poem or whatever it is you want as a reminder for your “why.” Any doubt that creeps into your head, pull it out and read it. Keep it in your wallet or on your mirror. Along with this you want to use positive affirmations in regards to your dream. Use a quote that inspires you or a saying you came up with to help you get back up every time you want to quit. The empowerment stage is going to be one that you keep coming back too because there will be days you don’t want to work at your dream and you hate it or you think it’s stupid. You may even get burnt out on the process of achieving your dreams so have that saying ready in your back pocket and pull it out. For me the phrase, “It doesn’t have to be pretty, you just have to do it,” helped me accomplish writing this blog everyday for a year.
Also during this phase or if you find yourself coming back to this phase build yourself up and surround yourself with successful people, podcasts, books, and anything else that pertains to your dream. If you need a reminder maybe watch a YouTube of someone who has already succeeded doing something similar. The empowerment stage keeps you focused and will be something in your toolbelt to help you endure what is to come.
Now we talk about implementing. First we had the thoughts, then the speech, now we have to back up those words with action. That’s right this is when the work comes into play to get you to where you want to be. Getting to this step doesn’t mean you will achieve success in a day or even a month, it just means that you are now ready to take action towards this goal. Now you may get discouraged if you see no progress during this phase, which is why I said that the empowerment phase will be something you need to keep revisiting along the way. The implementing phase will be difficult and long so be realistic about this. Remember during this phase you may need to learn new skills you don’t have, learn more about yourself you didn’t realize, or research things in order to figure out how to move forward. These things take time, that is why patience should be a skill you learn to channel often. Even if you believe you are ready for your dreams to become reality you may not have the confidence or the security, or the experience of the dream which is why time is a necessary component to this alchemy.
Over a period of time you will grow wiser, learn what works and doesn’t, become more confident or refined, you may become more open to the world and possibilities. With each step forward you should always look back to that first vision you saw for yourself. Does it still resonate with you? Does it still work for you or do you want it bigger now that you have some experience and consistency under your belt? As you take action your dream may seem impossible but as you tackle each piece of it you gain more understanding of it.
For instance I didn’t know how to start my own practice but I did it anyways. I had a dream to work for myself, and 5 1/2 years in I am finally in a great place. Along the way that dream was revamped and my create process came up with the idea of owning a big beautiful wellness center and to change the way society looks at the whole of a person. That is when I started the blog because I knew I wanted to be a writer, I knew I wanted to inspire others, and start a coaching business to match my now bigger dream. So during my whole process I have created, empowered, implemented, and become a few times.
It’s important to remember that once you reach the dream you have, it’s not game over. Okay we got here, that’s it. No, that’s when the process starts all over. Every time you become what you set out to be, or do what you set out to do that is when you create more. My goal was to open my own practice and become successful, bam, become phase complete. Then it was to do a blog for a year everyday, bam, become phase complete. Then it was open a wellness studio and here I am in the implementing phase of this very dream and along the way it isn’t easy, it’s challenging and giving me anxiety. It’s pushing me to be better and do more then I ever have before. All of the previous experience I have done has now led me to have confidence and now invest in myself.
That is what these 4 step phases are about. The create, empower, implement, become is all about learning to invest in yourself and your dreams. It teaches you a practical approach in finding your dream, breathing life into it and fueling it then taking action until it comes to fruition. It requires hard work, time, patience, consistency and resiliency from you because without those things you will give up when the obstacles come collapsing down around you. It is a never ending cycle to life and is the magic to everyones success.
So let me ask you now, are you ready to Dare to Habit?
Today was a 10!
