Success
What does success look like to you? Does it involve huge feats with large sums of cash? Is it being able to obtain a personal record lift? Is it becoming a mother, or opening your own business? Success is so relative to the person who is trying to explain it. Many times people look at success like how much money you have, what car you drive, how big is your house. But do those who ask the question truly know what they feel when they are living in success? Or do they even know what success truly is?
Success is an achievement level unlocked, it is reaching a goal or succeeding it. It is when you smash through something and all those little butterflies start fluttering in your stomach, shouting a victorious yell. It’s watching the progress peak and then hitting the wall and pushing past it anyways. That is what I believe success is. When you are living in the moment of all your progress to the point of joy in one of the results, because it’s never ending. You don’t hit the finish line and then bam happiness explosion, they lived happily ever after. The story doesn’t end, and that is why we should truly honor ourselves and our victories.
I finally get to announce my award for best of the Hudson valley! I succeeded. I attacked something with passion and consistency for the past 8 years and here I am best. Listen I don’t believe I am the best, I always know someone will show me up and teach me something I don’t know, WHICH I LOVE! But I did it. I have thought back and forth should I stick with this, shouldn’t I, just like probably so many out there working on whatever they are working on. But I kept at it. This to me is my own success story. It is years of progress, learning new things, experimenting, finding clients and building deep relationships with them, and trusting myself and intuition. If you met 4 years ago massage therapist Hope you would know that I am entirely different now. That is what I mean about success, it is never ending. The first office I rented 5 years ago was a success, I took a leap. Then the 2nd location was an even bigger success because thats when I gained courage to quit my other jobs. Then the 3rd I had to start over but I managed to find my footing and here I am.
So I want you to think about the journey you have had and the path you are walking now. Do you feel successful every step you take? Do you find yourself committed to the goal? Are you being pulled in all sorts of directions? It’s okay if you are, just recommit to the direction that you want. Don’t know what it is? Well think on it then. Allow yourself the space to figure out what it is you want. We are truly wizards and magical beings and can create absolutely anything. Re-evaluate what success is to you because maybe seeing you are already successful now will cultivate that mindfulness and happiness.
Today was a 5. Still feeling under the weather.
