Sending out love
When we are able to send love out that is when we become open to the world. The vibration of love is so high and so powerful. It ripples out far and wide and this creates more abundance in your life. Today I got to hear someone’s story that really changed me in my own heart space. It was moving for me to hear because for so long I held back from showing my family love because I was afraid of being hurt or rejected or many of the various reasons but after his story I am in awe of the power of love.
I won’t share his story because it’s not mine to tell but I want to share the part that really hit me. “I visualized a gold ring of love from my heart space and just sent this person pure love and wished them all the happiness.” That right there gave me goosebumps and really sunk in today. Even after spending the morning with them I reminisced on it, allowing myself to feel this type of openness. For a while I have closed myself to it because of all that happened, but now I feel ready to explore this side of my heart. To instead of feeling angry or upset or whatever I am feeling, to let it go and wish someone nothing but love and happiness. That to me is so fucking beautiful.
Love is one of the highest vibrations we as humans can have. Love is not just words, it’s not just conditioned, it is abundant and raw. The type of love I am speaking of is not a romantic love or a parental or familial love, it’s just pure love. Nothing attached to it, no conditions placed on it, just given freely from one human being to another. So what makes this so different then? This type of love doesn’t come from the mind, it doesn’t come from a place of emotions or feelings, it comes from your heart as pure energy. This type of love is what I plan to focus myself on, this type of practice is my next step.
When you hear the word love what automatically comes into your head? Do you think of people in your life you cherish, the memories you shared? Do you think of your pet or a dear friend? The word love is not enough for what it truly evokes because we use it so freely now. We say things like I love this piece of art. I love that car and so on. That is not the same feelings I am talking about. Love is way more than words. Let’s do some examples of what the word love truly means.
Right now I want you to imagine your emotions. Think of a time you were so angry you felt it every where in your body. Now you think the emotion of anger normally is associated with this rage or violence but did the anger feel that way? Or was it more like a deep intense wave that felt blinding? Or did it feel like it went through you and came out in a productive way like running or lifting? How did you feel it? See how the word anger can’t associate with the true emotion of anger? We use that word for anytime we feel unpleasantness now when it is in fact not the feeling you were truly embodying.
Now imagine a time you felt love for someone else. How can we do this? Picture the person passing but only think of the memories they gave not the part of them passing. Use the imagery of the time shared to feel that all over your body. Does it warm you up and make you smile? Do you feel lighter and more free just thinking about it? The word love can’t do that feeling justice. It is so minuscule to the grandness it truly is. That is why feeling love and using the word are just so different.
Everyday we use words to describe how we are feeling, what we think, see, hear, smell, taste and touch. But our words have fallen short of the actual sensations. Love is just another sense, yet a lot of us are so out of touch with it. We think words describe it well enough when in fact words are a fraction of what it truly is.
So here is the challenge for you now. I want you to feel in your body love. Send it freely to someone in your life. Feel it fully instead of saying the words out loud, speak from your heart instead. Use this vibration of love and imagine it going to the person you are feeling it for. The challenge is all about evoking the emotion rather than just speaking about it. We are human beings who feel deep, intense emotions yet we confuse them at times for words that can’t even begin to hold a candle to it. This challenge is all about getting away from the mind space and entering the heart space. That is why visualizations are crucial here because when you use imagery it helps your body act. Our egos love to tell us how we are feeling or play stories in our heads. Think about all the stories that you have told yourself that made you feel a type of way. Now imagine if you never told yourself those stories would you be feeling it in your body? Or would you be feeling something totally different.
I hope you try this challenge. I don’t want you to think here, this is all about feeling it instead. So send that love, feel it and stay blessed my friends.
Today was a 10!
