Morning Hike

This morning I hiked a mountain near me. It was exhilarating and let me tell you waking up early and hiking for 3 hours got me so motivated. Like when I tell you got me motivated I mean I got shit done today. I felt in charge and awake for the first time in a long time. Even with my health thing going on I was able to move forward and keep pace with myself. What is it about doing some rigorous movement in the morning that makes the rest of the day a power house of pro activity.

Let’s think about it like this, a body in rest stays at rest, but a body in motion stays in motion. This goes for life, and all the tasks, chores, and whatnot you have to do each day. So today hiking the mountain created momentum, this kept me propelling forward. It inspired me, got the creative juices flowing, and my day would soon unfold with an in charge demeanor I didn’t even know was there. I was a boss today, sure I am one everyday, but today I got shit done. I actively planned things regarding my goals, I put out feelers for things, and even had a chance to negotiate. I was on fire, all because the first thing I did this morning was hike with people I love.

It got me thinking that what I need is to start doing something every morning! And I know that soon I will be able too. After I figure out this little health thing then I know that a problem that has been going on for a while will be resolved! But when I start the day actively engaged, moving I am 100% more likely to keep moving throughout the day. Same goes for you. This means that all we have to do from here on out is wake up early, get after some rigorous activity and eat healthy. Boom! Now it’s all about planning and visualizing what the goal is I want to achieve with this. Then think about all the obstacles in my way.

So what could you do in the morning to get you actively moving? Could you incorporate crossfit, or maybe swimming? Maybe go for a trail run or do hot yoga. Make sure to get a sweat in whatever it is you do and stay hydrated! Try it for a week, see how you feel. Make a pro’s and cons list, maybe a goals list, that is pertaining to your 1 week of mental training/ exercise. Then once you have that then set that alarm and get up. Even if you would rather sleep, even if you can barely stay awake. All you have to do is get moving because that will wake you up so quick! Get after it!!

Today was an 8, even with this thing.
